You were a butterfly
That flew around in my mind

I looked deeply
To your soul through your eyes

Once upon a time
I didn't have to imagine
Perfection was there to find

My long days grew far too short
My Hell was adverted
My fare had been paid
My 'thank yous' continue to be made
As each tomorrow I embrace

Once upon a time
I was so very lost
Till love, you said you'd always be mine

Once upon a time
Your letters
I've never received
But that's O.K.
This is now
And that, was once upon a time.
